Option 1: City pickup (Fee-based special bulky pick-up)

Who can use it

  • City of El Paso residents. Collection Stations are for residents only, not businesses or contractors.

How to book

  1. Call Environmental Services at (915) 212-6000, Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Mattress rules

  • Mattresses and box springs are accepted bulky items.
  • Curbside by 6 a.m. on your scheduled day.

Setting it out

  • Place bulky items at the curb in front of your home by 6 a.m. on your scheduled day.
  • Keep them at least 5 feet from carts, mailboxes, fences, walls, water meters, parked cars, low trees and other obstructions, and off sidewalks.

Fees and limits

  • $35.00 for 5 cubic yards or less; $7.00 for each additional cubic yard. Tax is added to all charges.
  • Fees are billed to your El Paso Water Utilities account.

Option 2: Drop it off yourself

  • Citizen Collection Stations accept bulky items from residents.
  • Citizen Collection Stations, open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday:
  • Northeast, 9171 Stahala Dr, 79924; Central, 2492 Harrison Ave, 79930; Westside, 121 Atlantic Rd, 79922; Mission Valley, 1034 Pendale Rd, 79907; Eastside, 3500-3516 Confederate Dr, 79936.
  • Bring a current water bill and a valid ID with a matching address. Limit four visits per month. Single-axle trailers up to 8 feet only.
  • Stations may close or change hours for wind, rain or snow. Call (915) 212-6000 to check.

Option 3: Donate or give it away

  • Habitat for Humanity ReStores do not accept mattresses or box springs (national guidance).

Donation rules are set by each charity and can change. Call before you load up.
